    I recently purchased this ballast to replace the one in my fish tank light. Saved myself a bunch a money from having to buy a whole new fixture!

    I believe it is the right product. However, I am unable to use it as I discovered I needed additional parts to install this.

    Excellent and easy replacement to keep the old style florescent fish tank hood lamp alive!!

    I was able to pull this replacement ballast out of the mailer (it arrived promptly) and pop it into place and have the hood lamp working within a matter of minutes. This saved me well over $60 to $100 in replacement cost. Pet shops now only offer LED hood lamps for fish tanks. The ballast cost less than shipping for a total cost of about $15. I'm as happy as a... ...wait for it... ...clam... (in a fish tank!)
