    Excellent and easy replacement to keep the old style florescent fish tank hood lamp alive!!

    I was able to pull this replacement ballast out of the mailer (it arrived promptly) and pop it into place and have the hood lamp working within a matter of minutes. This saved me well over $60 to $100 in replacement cost. Pet shops now only offer LED hood lamps for fish tanks. The ballast cost less than shipping for a total cost of about $15. I'm as happy as a... ...wait for it... ...clam... (in a fish tank!)

    I ordered this to replace the one that stopped working in my tank overhead light for my bearded dragon. It was an exact fit and works very well. Easy to replace, and I am grateful that I didn't have to spend $50 on a whole new hood. Win/win!
