    The ballast worked in the fixture . I was very surprised to see that both of the ballasts appeared to be used as the paint was scuffed or scratched on them. I didn’t see anything in the description that they might be used or refurbished. The ballast also has a buzz or a hum when the light is on.

    The ballast gets hot to the touch after having the 14 watt fluorescent bulb on for only 45 minutes. This doesn't seem safe.

    Replacement transformer/ballast

    My mother's light fixtures are originals that came with the house that was built in 1956. I ordered and replaced the original transformers with the LC-14-20-C magnetic ballasts. I also replaced the starters with 2 I purchased from the Ballast Shop. Both light fixtures now are working. I'm very pleased with my purchases and will (and have) recommend Ballast Shop.
